French, circa 1890. 11” (28 cm). Two tunes. A metal inkwell with bronzed finish features a nymph-like woman with flowing robes and hair clasping a large inkwell. She lies in a bower of flowing leaves, designed in the Art Nouveau style. The music is activated when keywound from underside, and ink well cover hinged open. There is an original tune program on the underside listing two tunes: La Mascotte Valse, and Con Amour Polka.
