19th Century French Boxed Parlor Game"Loto Comique"

13" (33 cm.) x 9 1/2". A lidded box is decorated with fancy borders that frame a lively engraving depicting Polichinelle,Pierrot,Harlequin and a Monkey in a lively scene of playing this exact game. Inside the fitted box are 18 heavy stock loto (bingo) cards with various humorous scenes,along with playing buttons and wooden number buttons in their original rose sateen bags. The engraving is signed B. Coudert,the game is by Narcon of Paris,printed by Jannin. Excellent condition,slight paper darkening on lid. Mid-19th century.
