All-Original French Toy "Loterie Parisienne" with Bounty of Treasures

14" (36 cm.) w. x 15"h. x 11"d (when opened). A light wood box with decorative blue paper covers hinges open at the top and front to reveal a miniature bazaar stall with graduated shelving and mirrored back. A wooden roulette wheel sits in the center and the shelves are laden with prizes to be won with a lucky twirl of the wheel. Included are dolls, toys, figurines, novelties, doll jewelry, doll dishes, and a bird whistle. Gilt edges the sides and top and gilt lettering "Loterie Parisienne" announces the name. Excellent condition. French, circa 1900.
