Bisque socket head with amber tinted complexion,narrow brown glass sleep eyes,painted curly lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,slightly parted lips,two porcelain upper teeth,tongue,black human hair,amber tinted composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F made in Germany 10 243 JDK. Comments: Kestner,circa 1912,the sculpture was made specifically for this model only,aptly depicting a Chinese child. Value Points: in appealing size,the doll wears its original elaborately embroidered silk costume and headdress,possibly commissioned by Gump's of San Francisco for their luxury clientele of the early 20th century.
