Standing upon a wheeled wooden base with lithographed paper cover is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, wooden block torso, lower arms and legs, wearing silk jester costume and feathered felt hat, holding bell with ribbons; posed in front on spiral spring is a paper mache dog with amber glass eyes. When pulled along he vigorously moves his arms up and down while the pup bounces as though running. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: all original, the beautifully-preserved toy has charming movements.
