5 1/2" (14 cm.) All-wooden doll with heart-shaped face and elongated throat, painted complexion and black hair with defined ringlet curls around the face, painted facial features, cheek blush, jointing at hips, knees, shoulders, and elbows, painted stockings and flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent, tuck comb is intact but painted finish is worn. Comments: Germany, Grodnertal, circa 1850. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved tiny doll with exquisite painting of curls, beautiful original costume, petticoats, and brimmed lace bonnet.
