Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Vichy,circa 1860. When wound,and lever released the violinist turns his head side-to-side and plays the violin moving his right hand in a realistic back-and-forth and turning manner,while two tunes play. Value Points: pristine perfectly-preserved condition,with elegant blue and ivory silk costume with lace and pom-pom trim,matching Marquis hat,original violin,and original paper tune label listing the two tunes "La Jour et la Nuit Chanson" and "Le Petit Bleu Valse"; mechanism and music function well.
