American Carved Wooden Doll by Schoenhut

15" (38 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, sculpted and painted facial features, intaglio blue eyes with large black pupils and white eyedots, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, blonde bobbed hair wig, all-wooden spring-jointed body, wearing white knit sweater, cap, scarf and leggings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 17, 1911 USA. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1915. Value Points: well-defined features enhanced by fine original finish.
