American Cloth Character Boy by Martha Chase

23" (58 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, impasto-painted short blonde hair in boyish style, blue upper-glancing eyes, long curly lashes, white eyedots, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, stitched applied ears, sateen torso cover, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910. Value Points: fine original finish is well-preserved with gleaming complexion.
