Bisque socket head with brown ("cafe-au-lait") complexion, very deep amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, black brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, coral-shaded lips of closed mouth, pierced ears, black mohair wig over cork pate, French brown composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E 8 D. Comments: Etienne Denamur, circa 1888. Value Points: an especially beautiful bebe with soft brown complexion, splendid deep paperweight eyes, original body and body finish, fine antique costume including leather shoes impressed with full figure of doll.
