Beautiful French Bisque Poupee by Pierre-Francois Jumeau

22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded accents, separately-modeled pierced ears, wheat-blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, body is very sturdy. Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: gorgeous face whose gentle expression is enhanced by delicate complexion and soft blushing of cheeks and eyeshadow.
