17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with delicately-tinted complexion, painted blue down-glancing eyes with darker blue iris rims, thick black upper eyeliner, delicately-painted lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, unpierced ears, blushed cheeks, blonde mohair wig, kid body with gusset-jointing at hips, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Huret a Paris (and other illegible word, torso stamp). Comments: French, circa 1860, rare untypical body stamp, this being the mark usually found on costumes by Huret. Value Points: very beautiful face with artistic painting of eyes and blushed cheeks.
