Of fine black silk faille,the gown features a
rounded neckline with button at the top of
bodice,fitted waist with side closure,flat-front
skirt,wide pleats at the back skirt forming into a
modified bustle and extending into a
demi-train,with mauve silk ribbon trim and cuffs.
Along with a bonnet constructed of bands of
pressed fabric to simulate wicker and decorated
with feathers,flowers and ribbons. Circa 1860.
