Blonde "Nina Ballerina" in Yellow Satin with Silver Rick-Rack Trim, 1949

18" (46 cm.) All hard plastic, Margaret face, blonde floss hair with cluster of fine curly bangs, side hair drawn back into an elaborate twist of curls at the crown decorated with tiny yellow silk rose buds and leaves that are repeated at the shoulder and hip. Wearing tutu with yellow satin bodice and tulle gathered skirt edged with silver metallic rick-rack over two layers of net, yellow satin panties, pink ballerina slippers. The costume is marked "Nina Ballerina, Madame Alexander, N.Y. U.S.A. All Rights Reserved". Excellent condition. Alexander, 1949, with original cloverleaf paper wrist tag, rare model from the earliest hard plastic doll production era.
