Brown Cotton Print Pinafore Dress and Woven Lace Bonnet

4" shoulder width. 15" hips. 14" overall length. Of a rich dark brown cotton printed with tiny scattered flower buds,the neat dress has sixteen rows of narrow vertical tucks from shoulders to hips,ruffled short sleevelets,stand-up cotton lace collar; the tucks are repeated at the back centered by handmade button holes and buttons,and coral feather-stitching accents the skirt. Along with a very fancy bonnet of lattice-woven cap fronted by two rows of very ruffled lace with floral decoration. Circa 1884.
