How to Prepare:
• Bring a driver's license or passport to help our staff get you registered and approved.
• Bring friends and family, everyone can enjoy the excitement of a Theriault's auction, the more the merrier.
• Bring your payment method. Theriault’s accepts checks and cash, as well MasterCard and Visa, for all invoices. If using a combination of credit card and check, you should let one of our staff know ahead of time so that they can pre-split the invoice for you.
Can’t make it to the auction? Phone bids are free of charge and the sure-fire way to ensure your participation on the items you wish to bid on.

Phone bidding is available at our Marquis, Elan, and Rendezvous auctions. To place a phone bid, call 1-800-638-0422 at least 24 hours prior to the auction. During the auction, one of our friendly representatives will call you 1-2 lots prior to the item you wish to bid on.

How to Prepare:
• During the auction, our representatives will be calling you, so  have a reliable number and connection where we can reach you.
• While there is absolutely no obligation to bid, due to the high demand for phone bids, we ask that you expect to bid at the low end of the estimate.
For those rare moments when you are not by your phones or computers, absentee bidding allows you to bid competitively without having to be present at the time your item comes up for auction.

Absentee bidding is available at all Theriault’s auctions, except Ten2Go and iDiscover.

How to Prepare:
• Have your bids ready and have them submitted at least 12 hours before the auction.
• Know if you’d like to round your bid. Remember that sometimes your opening bid may not exactly fall into the increment amounts for that particular piece, meaning you could miss out if your maximum bid doesn’t land in the bidding pattern. If you opt for a rounding of your bid it means that you are willing to go one increment above your bid so as to avoid the disappointment of missing out so closely to your final bid.
• If you were successful winning your items, we will mail you an invoice. You may also call our office 48 hours after the auction at 1-800-638-0422.
Interact with Theriault’s auctions in real time. Watch it, hear it, and bid as if you were actually in the crowd. It is the most popular way to follow a Theriault's auction as it allows collectors to be more spontaneous with their bidding. You can even pre-bid before or during the auction so you'll be sure to never miss an item.

Unlike many other auction houses, at Theriault’s there are no additional premiums for online bidding, so there is no reason not to join in. Online bidding is available at our Marquis, Elan, and Rendezvous auctions.
