Pressed bisque socket head with very full and elongated cheeks, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, delicately painted curly lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped upper lip, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden fully articulated body with dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A 5 T (head) N1C28 (incised upper back torso). Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1882, with rare original deposed articulated bebe body. Value Points: classic and desirable facial model by Thuillier is perfectly achieved in this example, with superior quality of painting especially around the eyes and mouth, original rare body, beautiful aqua silk costume, bonnet, French leather shoes by Alart (an additional early frail silk dress is also included).

Having bisque shoulderhead, painted facial features, blonde mohair wig, muslin body, bisque lower limbs, painted black boots, the lady stands alongside a three-shelf wooden etagere with mirrored back, upon which is arranged ten various miniature curios ranging from a carved bone needle case in the shape of fireplace bellows, mantel clock, various porcelains and glassware. Excellent condition. The doll is wearing her factory-original costume. Germany, circa 1890.
3" (8 cm.) h. pitcher. Of rich emerald green, the pattern glass miniature service has alternating clear and diamond-patterned panels, each piece with scalloped top edge, and including creamer, spooner, and covered butter dish. Excellent condition. Circa 1900.

Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their rare art character series of only three models (150, 151, and 152) were created, each in very limited numbers. Value Points: very rare model has especially fine sculpting with defined laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth, fabulous cheek dimples, lovely wig, original body and body finish.
