Kewpie, head turned to the side, modelled
topknot, blue wings, side-glancing googly eyes,
arms modelled away from body, ankles crossed,
with black cat walking across Kewpie's lap.
Marked "c" with black stamp in circle. Designed
by Rose O'Neill, produced in Germany, circa 1915.
Excellent condition, possible minute flake at cat
tail tip.

features, elongated throat, tiny squinting blue
glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, single
stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils,
closed mouth modelled as though open with two
rows of teeth, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs,
pointing finger on right hands, high white
stockings, black one-strap shoes. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: J.I.O c. 1920 44

fully jointed body with straight wrists, nicely
