having forelock and side curls,painted facial features,side-
glancing right eye with painted lashes,"winking" left eye,short
dash brows,closed smiling mouth with upturned left side of
lip,paper mache five piece body,nicely costumed. Condition:

7.5" (19 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass sleep and side-
glancing googly eyes,painted dark curly lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with shy
impish smile,blonde mohair wig,loop-jointed bisque arms and
legs,spread curled fingers,nicely costumed. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig Germany 131-19 (head)
19 (inside limbs). Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1912.
Value Points: the rarity of the all-bisque version of K*R's 131
model is complemented by its absolutely delightful expression
and fine quality of bisque and painting.

costume color and variations in size. Condition: generally
excellent,larger has tiny flake at right shoulder arm. Comments:
Hertwig,circa 1910. Value Points: well-defined impish features with
googly eyes in the Campbell Kid manner.
3" (8 cm.) Each is one piece figure of Brownie playfully riding the
back of a pink pig,including Chinaman Brownie,and Brownie in blue
suit with white night cap. Condition: generally excellent.

facial features with wide googly eyes,painted costumes.
5" (13 cm.) and 6 1/2". Each has one piece bisque head,torso
and legs,sculpted blonde hair in the so-called Campbell Kid
fashion,painted facial features,side-glancing blue googly
eyes,closed mouth,sculpted romper suit with belt,white
socks,brown ankle boots,pin-jointed arms. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Hertwig,circa 1910. Value Points:
excellent detail of sculpting and painting on the typical early
20th century rascals.
5" (13 cm.) One piece bisque head and torso depicting a chubby
faced little girl,sculpted orange/brown bobbed hair with forelock
curls,blue side-glancing eyes,black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,closed mouth with watermelon-slice-shaped
mouth,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs,painted blue
socks,black one-strap shoes,muslin chef's costume. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1915,from the
original illustrations by American artist Grace Drayton that
evolved into her marketing figures of the Campbell Kids. Value
Points: rare all-bisque googly with very fine bisque,enhancing

3" (8 cm.) One piece all-bisque figure of crawling baby with highly
characterized facial features,painted googly eyes,wide ear-to-ear
beaming smile,pronounced topknot,sculpted costume. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1920,possibly
representing the baby from the early comic strip "The Newlyweds".

6" (15 cm.) Mama,5" kids. Each is one piece bisque figure with
highly characterized facial features and hair,sculpted costumes.

stories by Wilhelm Busch,later evolved into the popular American
