All-cloth doll with swivel head, pressed felt face with painted brown side-glancing eyes, painted upper lashes, blushed eye shadow and cheeks, blonde mohair bobbed wig, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. He is wearing original white shirt with lavender tie, coral cotton pants, brown flannel jacket with purple buttons, brown cap with brim, socks and black front-snap shoes with buckle trim. The costume is tagged "Oliver Twist/Madame Alexander NY". Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, 1935; the David Selznick 1935 film "David Copperfield" inspired Madame Alexander to create an entire series of cloth dolls based on Charles Dickens characters.
