Composition "Sonja Henie" with Trunk and Trousseau, and Rare Sport Equipment

15" (38 cm.) All composition with socket head, brown sleep eyes, real lashes, dark eyeshadow, open mouth, four teeth, impressed cheek dimples, jointing at shoulders and hips. She is wearing skating ensemble with coral taffeta blouse trimmed with blue polka dots, black velvet skirt and matching tassel cap, slip, panties, skates. The costume has original cloth label "Genuine Sonja Henie Doll/Madame Alexander NY USA/All Rights Reserved". Excellent condition, exterior of trunk is very worn. Madame Alexander, 1940, the doll is presented in original trunk with additional costumes including ski ensemble with poles and skis, grey sweater set, white slacks, plaid winter ensemble, polka dot party dress, boots, and with tennis racquet with cover, and set of golf clubs. The ensemble closely resembles the set shown in the June 1940 Alexander ad in Playthings Magazine; the golf club and tennis racket are extremely rare.
