Cotton Print Dropped-Waist Dress with Velvet Bonnet

4 " shoulder width. 14" relaxed hips. 12" overall length. Of ecru cotton printed with abstract design of brown leaves,the dress features a fitted yoke above a front panel with dropped waist achieved by elaborate ruching at the yoke and hips; the design is repeated at the back along with a row of eight handmade buttons and button holes. The sleeves are edged with self-ruffle,which is repeated at the neckline and arond the hem. A brown silk faille bow decorates the back hips. Along with a brown patterned velvet cap with brown silk bows and streamers. Circa 1882. $
