Cream Velvet Princess Style Dress with Blue Soutache,and Straw Bonnet

4" shoulder width. 9" relaxed waist. 10" overall length. A lustrous silk velvet in a rich creamy color is fashioned into a princess style dress with rounded self collar,long coat sleeves,and narrow gathers at the back below the hips . The dress is trimmed with vibrant blue soutache embroidery to accent the front panels and back hip construction,and has blue button loops and pearl buttons. Along with a flat-topped woven bonnet with (worn) blue silk banding,and black velvet ribbon. Circa 1880.
