18" (46 cm.) Thick hand-pressed porcelain shoulderhead with very plump face and tinted complexion, solid dome with three sew holes for wig attachment, plump modeling of well-defined sloped shoulders, painted brown eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, brown single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with dimpled smiling expression, blushed cheeks, brunette mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1860, attributed to Lippert and Haas of Schlaggenwald. Value Points: very rare highly-characterized doll with wonderful expression, fine antique gown and undergarments, leather slippers.
