13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling and very full cheeks, blue glass googly side-glancing eyes in wide round shape, short painted dark curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils of short pug nose, closed mouth with shy smile, light brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique sailor suit and cap, stockings, black shoes with silver buckles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G.B. 253 Germany A 3/0 M. Comments: Marseille for George Borgfeldt, circa 1920. Value Points: wonderful impish googly character with excellent bisque, well-defined cheek dimples, original body finish.
