An early box with faux-leather cordovan paper cover and green paper lining with numerous cubicles contains various materials for making paper flowers,including cut paper designs,bead work,stamen,and a number of little pattern pieces wrapped in papers and identified with old handwriting. The box is dated 1840. Also included is a porcelain de Paris pedestal base with filigree designs and gold leaf finish with a beautiful arrangement of early paper and silk flowers that are artfully made. French,mid-19th century. Very good/excellent condition.
