Carved wooden one-piece head and torso with slightly-elongated throat, black enamel inset eyes, dot-fringed lashes and brows, shaped nose, painted closed mouth with extended center line, blushed cheeks, original blonde mohair wig in elaborate coiffure, shapely torso, cloth upper arms, wooden lower arms, wooden legs with dowel-jointing at hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent, slight touch-up on the throat. Comments: English, mid-1700s. Value Points: the doll has superb original facial complexion and painting, with classic blush spots on cheeks, original coiffure with silk flowers, wonderful costume of silk and muslin, undergarments, and charming kidskin fingerless gloves.
