Bisque socket head with very plump face, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows with feathered highlights, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed plump body with flat-cut derriere, straight wrists, early bronze green satin dress, woven bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SCH (in shield 4 (on head) SCH (on flat edge of derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880, early period bebe by that firm. Value Points: finest quality of bisque complexion and painting of features, original body and body finish.
