Early Sheer White Muslin Gown with Silk Woven Fichu

5" shoulders 10" waist. 19" overall length. Very delicately-woven sheer muslin forms the dress with narrowly-pleated V-shaped fitted bodice,narrow sleeves with self-piping at the shoulders,front closure with open-front skirt. A fichu of loosely-woven royal blue and ivory silk threads overlays the bodice and wraps around the waist. Circa 1850.
