Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed poupee body. Condition: generally excellent, body especially clean and firm except fingers worn on right hand. Marks: 4 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, rare bisque head which was also used for his premiere bebe. Value Points: splendid eyes enhance the elegant lady, signed original body, fabulous antique dress of brown velvet and aqua silk, leather shoes, undergarments.
