Extremely Rare German Bisque Googly, 319, by Heubach Koppelsdorf

Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape and chubby cheeks, round brown glass side-glancing googly eyes, painted short fringe of upper lashes on each eye, comma-shaped modeled brows, button nose with accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth in downward shaped pout, brunette mohair wig, composition ball-jointed toddler body with very chubby torso and legs, side-hip jointing, jointed knees and shoulders, antique costume. Condition: half-quarter-sized one-piece break and reglue at front crown rim (under wig),otherwise excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf 319 3/0 Germany A. H. Schalkau. Comments: Heubach Koppelsdorf, circa 1920. Value Points: the great rarity of this googly model is rivaled by its most captivating expression and fine larger googly size; only one other example of this rare model has ever been sold by Theriault's.
