14" (36 cm.) Seated upon a velvet-covered wooden base is a bisque-head doll with blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate. Condition: doll is excellent except restoration to one finger, mechanism is not working. Marks: 2 (head) (paper label on base indicates two tunes). Comments: Vichy, circa 1875. Value Points: a beautiful display model, wearing original silk costume, holding guitar; with remnants of paper label of Au Nain Bleu on the underside indicating the store from which it was originally sold.
