22" (56 cm). Bisque socket head, dark blue glass
paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecut, lushly painted lashes, brushstroked
and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, closed mouth with defined space between
the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears,
brunette mohair wig arranged as periwig, French
composition and wooden fully-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose
Tete Jumeau SGDG 10 (and artist checkmarks, on
head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).
Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. Value Points:
fine quality of bisque, painting, original body
and body finish, unusual periwig and antique
couturier-made Marquis costume of cherry-red
velvet with metallic edging, lace cuffs and
jabot, silk knee-length pants.
