French Bisque Bebe Jumeau, Size 1, with Original S

The poured bisque socket head bebe has very large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, lushly painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original composition and wooden fully jointed body. She owns her original seamstress costume comprising white sheer muslin dress with trapunto embroidery on reverse of fabric, attached underslip, petticoat, pantalets, chemisette, knit cap, Jumeau stockings and leather shoes signed "1 Paris Depose". Signed "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 1" with artist's checkmarks on head and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" on body. Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. 9" (23 cm).
