French Bisque Brown-Eyed Bebe by Jumeau, Size 13, Costume and Signed Jumeau Shoes

Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, large amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, thick brush-stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, impressed chin dimple and philtrum, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 13 J (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. Value Points: strongly-defined features are enhanced by brown paperweight eyes and richly painted features, original early body and body finish, pretty antique costume and bonnet, leather Jumeau shoes with incised bee symbol and Paris Depose mark.
