The doll has bisque socket head with slender facial modelling suggesting an older child, black glass enamel inset eyes, painted upper lashes, one stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. The doll wears maroon woolen dress with black velvet bodice and cuffs, black lace trim, undergarments, black leather heeled shoes, and superb shaped bonnet with floral trim. Signed "Paris GD 1". Henri Alexandre, circa 1895. 9" (23 cm).
