Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,cobalt blue glass eyes,painted dark curly lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent line,ears pierced into head,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid-over-wooden poupee body with shapely torso,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent,one thumb repaired. Marks: Simonne Paris Passage Delorme Rue de Rivoli (green stamp on torso). Comments: French,circa 1867,the doll was presented by the luxury Parisian doll shop Maison Simonne whose offerings only included the finest dolls and costumes.
