French Bisque Poupee with Unique Body and Original Costume

14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, firm carton body, wire armature upper arms and legs, paper mache lower legs, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: lovely bisque enhances the dainty expression, wearing original silk costume with matching stockings and shoes, her silk apron uplifted as though to gather flowers.
