French Child's "Modes Parisienne" with Miniature Bonnets and Bisque Doll

10" (25 cm.) doll. 15" x 10" box. A wooden box with decorative paper cover is labeled "Modes Parisienne" and hinges open to an elaborately-fitted interior centered by a bisque head doll with blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, marked Dep. The doll is surrounded by eight miniature bonnets as well as a number of decorative supplies such as silk flowers and tulle. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1900, from such arrangements offered in Parisian Etrennes catalogs of that era. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved presentation is rarely found.
