17" (43 cm.) The earthenware bust depicts a young lad with well-defined side-swept hair, lean handsome face, defined throat and shoulders, impressed "A.Marque 1930". Excellent condition. Although known in the doll world for his extraordinary sculpture of a young lady, Albert Marque was, significantly, one of the celebrated sculptors of his day; his busts of children ramp among his most noted works.
