French Globe de Mariee with Splendid Decorations

18" (46 cm.) An elaborate arrangement centered by a rose silk tufted cushion that is surmounted by a beautifully framed round beveled mirror and decorated with the following: six daisies, eight elongated leaves, eight maple leaves, six oak leaves, two ivy leaves, a rectangular mirror, and a dove with wreath of harmony. Resting upon the cushion is a fine wax orange blossom coronet, and several decorations for the gown. A pair of wax orange blossom earrings hang from the wreath. The arrangement is on an ebony-finished base under glass dome. French, circa 1890, an exceptionally detailed example with 22-karat gold-plated symbols.
