The light wood box with faux-leather paper cover has gilt lettering on the lid "La Petite Couturiere" and hinges open to reveal a well-fitted interior designed to instruct a child in the art of sewing, including hand-wind cast iron sewing machine, various sewing implements, threads, fabrics, and with two small bebe dresses with rose silk ribbons. Excellent condition, unplayed with and mostly still with original box ties, dresses with few moth holes. French, circa 1890.
