German All-Bisque Character,178,by Kestner

7" (18 cm.) Bisque socket head,very narrow blue glass sleep eyes,painted curly lashes,short feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,row of lower beaded teeth,blonde mohair wig over original plaster pate,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent,tiniest underneath flake on right forefinger. Marks: 178 1 (head) (Kestner crown and seal label on stomach). Comments: Kestner,circa 1912. Value Points: rare model especially delightful as all-bisque with original body and paper label.
