Bisque shoulderhead with sculpted light brown side-parted hair in boyish style, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, impressed chin dimple, kid pin-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880, the model is known as "American Schoolboy". Value Points: unusually large size of the model, with excellent bisque and painting, wearing well-detailed antique Scottish costume including black velvet jacket and matching tam.
