German Bisque Art Character, Model 109, "Elise" by Kammer and Reinhardt

Bisque socket head, painted dark blue eyes slightly glancing to the right, thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 109 46. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, from their art character series, the model marketed as "Elise", circa 1910. Value Points: the very fine detail of modeling including impressed dimples and indentations around the eyes is enhanced by choice matte bisque highlighted by light decorative glaze such as eye socket edging, original body and body finish, beautiful antique costume.
