German Bisque Brown-Eyed Character, Model 114, "Gretchen", by Kammer & Reinhardt

12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown painted eyes, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with fretful expression, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 114 30. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, "Gretchen" from their art character reform series. Value Points: very dear wistful expression, choice bisque, original body and body finish.
