German Bisque Character "Whistler" by Gebruder Heubach

13" (33 cm.) Bisque head with flanged neck, sculpted short brown boyish hair, intaglio blue side-glancing eyes, white eyedots, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with tiny "whistling" hole, original body with bellows in torso which, when squeezed, causes the doll to whistle, antique costume. Marks: 8774 Heubach (square) 5 Germany. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, the model was marketed as "Whistler". Value Points: wonderful modeling enhances the playful whistling activity.
