German Bisque Doll, 1159, by Simon and Halbig with Original Lady-Shaped Body

Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig in up-swept coiffure, composition and wooden lady-shaped body with ample bosom and shapely waist, elongated limbs. Condition: generally excellent, retouch to body finish. Marks: 1159 Simon & Halbig S&H 9 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: the Edwardian-era fashion lady has original wig and body, wonderful antique costume including parasol and bonnet.
