111 . Very Rare French Doll with Laminated Cloth Body Attributed to the Designs of Brouillet-Cacheleux
23" (58 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with rounded plump face, blonde sculpted hair with cluster of forehead curls, little curls at her nape, and a thick braid extending across her crown that is decorated with blue beads that are a match to her blue bead sculpted necklace with coral medallion, painted blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, old muslin body with sewn-on blue stockings and red leather shoes, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1020 # 9. Comments: Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1880.
