302 . A French Doll's Schoolroom with Nine Bisque Dolls and Furnishings from Exhibition at the Famed Musee de la Poupee in Paris
26" (66 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with pale complexion, sculpted blonde hair arranged with wavy curls at the sides and forehead, then captured into a very long loose braid that forms into a coronet that extends into a coiled chignon at the back of head, painted facial features, blue upper-glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brown brows, closed mouth, partially-sculpted pierced ears, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: rare coiffure with excellent detail, very nice antique costume, undergarments, leather boots.
